Shabbat Tent @ Phish Festival

The team is gathering. The Challah and the Wine are on the horizon. As a thousand Jews descend on Indio, the Shabbat Tent Team wonders – who is out there who wants to help set up Shabbat at PF8? This will be a DIY Shabbat for the team – we are coming in as civilians.

Not really sure why a non religious festival has to be invaded by a religious entity. Take your shit and set it up yourself somewhere else. This isn’t an anti-semetic message. I don’t think Christians should set a tent up either. Nor should their be a Muslim tent. Seriously, stop trying to push your religion on other people.

Thanks Sean for your take on what we do – but it is completely off mark. We don’t push religion at all. We offer a place for people to celebrate, meditate, hang out.

    Sean,

Why the anger? Have you ever experienced a festival without some type of spirituality infused within it? Do your research on Woodstock and Monterrey and all the other festivals. Phish Phans are supposed to be more about love and good vibes than many other music scenes. Seriously, the negativity is pretty bad.

um, the phish scene has long been a free zone for people to express themselves. Please refrain from telling people what type of booth or tent they shouldn’t be setting up at a phish fest.
